Area Relief Ministries (ARM)

Area Relief Ministries is a non-profit agency that partners with churches to alleviate suffering, promote dignity, and foster hope. ARM oversees Room in the Inn (in which churches provide nightly shelter for men who are homeless), the HUB Club (after school program for children in the Hillcrest neighborhood), utility and other assistance, and other resources for those in need. The Great Day of Service

One day per year set aside by our church to have all members work on pre-planned mission projects including our “Essential Missions” in the community. Kay Hill is chairman this year.

Regional Inter-Faith Ministries (RIFA)

RIFA is a Jackson agency that reaches out with the love of Christ to help people in need and to provide resources for a better future. RIFA operates a daily soup kitchen and also provides assistance through a food bank, thrift store, and various relief services for families. To see how you can help visit

Reelfoot Rural Ministries

Reelfoot is a mission agency of the Memphis Conference UMC located in Obion, TN near Reelfoot Lake. It offers a wide range of assistance to those struggling with issues of poverty including food, senior services, a dental clinic, and a yearly Christmas toy store. Witnesses in God’s Sanctuary (WINGS)

Tutoring and Mentoring Ministry of our church in partnership with Arlington Elementary. On Wednesdays after school, students come to our church for assistance with homework.

Arise2Read Jackson/Team Read

A church/school partnership program for the public school system.  Volunteers tutor all 2nd graders with reading each week. Our church serves as mentors of Lincoln Elementary students. Volunteers are needed at many schools.
